Poorkkalam has completed its first schedule in several places of tamilnadu like Karaikudi, Thiruchendur, Rameshwaram, Dhanushkodi, Madurai and Tenkasi. The second schedule was shot in major parts of Chennai, Pondichery and Ramoji Film City [Hyderabad] from 13th October to 26 November.
